Hello to everyone who attended the James Bond Event in aid of Woodlands Hospice, which was our 10th anniversary as Aintree Support Group..  On behalf of myself and Neil Beadman we would like to say thank you to everyone.

We would like to say to everyone who attended and who was involved with the event thank you for all your support again this year, so many to thank.  This year we had sponsorship from 2 local businesses, which makes a huge difference to any event.  Mr Chris Heiberg, Peace Of Minds Wills Ltd Southport & Mr Steve McArdle Freshfield Mortgages Formby  Email info@peaceofmindwills.co.uk Email steve@freshfieldmortgages.co.uk  who we would like to acknowledge our thanks for their kind gesture. Also Barclays match funded the event for us once again. We were able with the support of Mr Tony & Mrs Marion Aspinall of Collingwood Gold, Southport for their kind donation of a diamond that we were able to raffle, which was won by Emma Sherry with ticket no 127 and Emma was presented with her diamond by Singer Jennifer Adams who sang Diamonds are Forever just before the draw along with 007. Also Mr Martin Taylor of Arriva, who kindly organised transport for guests.  As well as Garry Spencer who kindly donated table prizes for his salon in Southport.

The compere for the evening was Mr Jimmy McCracken from BBC Radio Merseyside who introduced all the acts on the evening Singer Steve Fletcher,  pupils from Chesterfield High School who did an amazing James bond themed dance,  choreographed by Stephanie Bull

Guests were treated to a cocktail on arrival and met by James Bond Actor/Lookalike Donald Standen from Action Hero Events www.actionheroevents.com who entertained guests, staff and visitors to the club.  He was in character from the moment he made his entrance with his gun and everyone had photographs with him. Please contact for bookings actionheroevents Tel no 0845 003 5301.  Bafta award winner Davy Jones & Julie Rutherford-Smith of  http://www.makeupsfx.com  contact no 07702861640  who kindly donated their time for making up Jaws from the Bond Movie and attended the event as guests.
There were prizes of a holiday for 4, trip to London, round of golf, overnight stay at Formby Hall, Samsung tablet and much more. As well as a silent auction by Steve Saul www.route39.co.uk
We had guests who travelled over from Belgium as well as from down south. Everyone had a fabulous time from the feedback we have received.  We are hoping to have raised in the region of £10.000, which was made possible with everyone who attended the event and support year on year.   We have already been asked about next years event and have confirmed bookings too.
Again thank you for supporting Woodlands Hospice.
